December 16, 2009 - Inverness Technologies supports the San Diego Symphony's presentation of "Home for the Holidays" - Inverness joined Ashford University in a salute to our military - a San Diego Symphony Holiday Pops performance to benefit San Diego's military families. The performance, which featured traditional holiday music as well as some modern pieces, featured a traditional Armed Forces Salute. Ashford University also teamed with the Warrior Foundation to help send 10 injured Service members of the US Armed Forces home to enjoy the holidays. Click here for more information on the event.
Veterans Affairs Web-Based Training: June, 2009
The Veterans Health Administration awarded Inverness Technologies with a contract to provide leadership training materials to educate the next wave of VA Program Managers in collaboration with the Care Management and Social Work Service and the Employee Education System. Inverness was tasked with creating four web-based training courses to help VHA Program Managers around the world acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities to function as effective personnel managers and to better bring OEF/OIF services to seriously ill returning veterans and their families. Covering such vital topics as business plan development, team recruitment and development, and care management, Inverness Technologies training materials helped the VHA better equip its program managers to make the right decisions about their programs and the soldiers who use them, providing advanced levels of care that can make all the difference in the lives of wounded soldiers and their families.
CRI IPT (IDIQ Contract, sub to CRI): May, 2009
In May 2009 Inverness Technologies was awarded a subcontract to CRI to assist with a Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) contract providing Acquisition Subject Matter expertise and assisting in IPT activities related to the preparation and programmatic planning documents. Inverness will also assist in the conceptual approach of contract development and the preparation of evaluation criteria to support acquisition planning and execution.
DOD – MOS IT Support: February, 2009
In February 2009 the Department of Defense Quality of Life office awarded Inverness Technologies with a contract to provide program management, hosting, configuration management, quality assurance and network support as the backbone of their MilitaryOneSource.com website. The website provides a myriad of tools aimed at enhancing the lives of military members and their families around the world. Some of the programs that Inverness will host and develop are the Wounded Warrior Program, the Joint Family Support program, and the MOS HelpDesk, which assists visitors to the site in navigating the site and making the most of their military benefits. In addition, Inverness will support a technical help desk for 24 hours a day, every day of the year, with 99.99% uptime for the site, ensuring that Service members and their families will never be without help in navigating the sometimes complicated world of military life.
Veterans First Contracting Program: December, 2008
Inverness Technologies received notification from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) that we were added to the verified veteran business database at www.VetBiz.gov. This will allow any Project Manager within the VA to contract directly with Inverness in limited competition or a sole-source contract. We look forward to a continued positive working relationship with the VA.
DOD – Program Support Services: September, 2008
In September 2008 Inverness Technologies partnered with Military Community and Family Policy (MC&FP) to provide program and management analysts to assist in the development and implementation of various quality of life programs. The analysts would work on projects like the MC&FP's Career Advancement Coordination Services, which promotes the employment and training of the spouses of military Service members who have been reassigned or deployed abroad. When spouses received financial and counseling assistance through their Career Advancement Accounts, Inverness analysts helped identify mobile career pathways and developed strategies to better assist military spouses in identifying and completing their educations.
VA New Service Request Reviews : September, 2008
In September 2008 the Department of Veterans Affairs awarded Inverness Technologies with a New Service Request contract. In support of the VA, Inverness will review projects and programs submitted to the VA for cost benefit analysis, return on investment, effectiveness, and many other important factors. Coordinating with the Health Program Management Office, Inverness focuses on facilitating collaboration among various teams working with the VA to produce results that directly benefit soldiers the VA works to heal and support. The VA awarded this contract to Inverness because they knew that Inverness could provide “rigorous project management and business analysis principles” to meet the challenges that the VA faces every day in ensuring the best standard of care possible for the many veterans who depend on the VA and its life-saving services.
Signature Performance (DIACAP) : July, 2008
In July 2008, Inverness Technologies was proud to announce that it will support Signature Performance, Inc. in its DIACAP program, a certification and accreditation process for Department of Defense websites which ensures the protection of personal health and financial data for military members and their families. Inverness will provide invaluable technical support for the program as it seeks to establish high standards of security and protection for both data contained on DOD websites and the military and civilian users who depend on the DOD for invaluable online assistance.
Work Investment Streamlined Reporting (WISPR): July, 2008
Inverness Technologies announced July 25 the receipt of award with the Department of Labor Employment & Training Administration to conduct a comprehensive study of the options for implementation of the Workforce Investment Streamlined Reporting (WISPR) system. The WISPR system will provide integrated reports of performance outcomes across various workforce investment programs operated by DOL and thereby enable the Department to respond more effectively to the needs of the government and the general public. Inverness will be conducting a cost-benefit analysis for developing and hosting the WISPR system both internally and externally. We are pleased to have been awarded this contract and look forward to working with DOL.
Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E): July, 2008
On 21 July, 2008, the Department of Veteran Affairs awarded Inverness with a contract in support of the Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) program, which assists service-disabled veterans in preparing for, obtaining, and maintaining suitable employment and helps severely disabled veterans for whom employment is not an option to live more independently within their communities. Inverness will be working with counselors in several regions throughout the country to supplement and complement the services provided by VR&E and ensure that needs of service-disabled veterans are effectively met. We are eager to continue our work with Veterans Affairs and value the opportunity to serve our nation's veterans.
DoD Benefits Calculator July, 2008
Inverness received a contract on 3 September, 2008, to support the Department of Defense in the creation of a benefits calculator. This calculator will help make the full value of benefits more transparent to service members, in accordance with the recommendations of the Tenth Quadrennial Review of Military Compensation (QRMC). Inverness will develop a website that will serve as an inclusive source for service members and their families to gain a better understanding of their military benefits, both financial and non-financial, and allow them to see what income they would need in a civilian job to maintain the same level as on active duty. The base period of performance for this contract will run through 8 June 2009. Inverness is pleased to have the opportunity to support these service members and their families.
