lll (D/SIDDOMS lll) Contract
December 15, 2003
Inverness Technologies is a key partner on the SAIC Team, which was
awarded a 10-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract
with the Department of Defense.
The multiple-award D/SIDDOMS III
contracts provide the Military Health System (MHS), its components,
and the Department of Veterans Affairs the ability to issue individual
task orders for services, equipment, materials and facilities to
design, test, and operate MHS technology systems and system components.
The contract awardees will share the total value of the contract
that is estimated at approximately $8 billion over ten years.
The Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Health Affairs)/TRICARE
Management Activity (OASD (HA)/TMA) provides support to the MHS
in applying the principles of DoD information and technology management.
The D/SIDDOMS III contract will be a tool used to support TMA in
the execution of its vast mission by implementing policies, procedures,
programs, and technical standards necessary to acquire, manage,
integrate, and secure information technology systems and capabilities
that support the delivery of high quality, cost effective health
care services across the operational continuum. Inverness Technologies
will support SAIC in all task areas.
