Technologies Appoints Mr. David L. Aycoth as Senior Vice President
for Business Development

Inverness Technologies is pleased to announce the appointment of
Mr. David L. Aycoth as Senior Vice President for Business Development,
Southeast Operations Region. In this position, he will be responsible
for marketing and program execution for DoD, Department of Veterans
Affairs (VA), commercial clients, and educational institutions.
He will focus on business process improvement, technology innovation,
and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations
(JCAHO) compliance.
Mr. Aycoth comes to Inverness with 28 years of diverse and challenging
management and personnel experience, both in the Air Force and as
a civilian. Throughout his career, Mr. Aycoth was acknowledged for
always “getting the job done right, on time, and within budget
parameters.” His integrity, attention to detail, and commitment
to serve embody Inverness’ core values. Inverness CEO, Pete
Peters stated “Dave was the only candidate for this position.
Since we couldn’t bring Dave to Washington, we took Inverness
to Dave. There is no doubt he will be extremely successful in establishing
our Southeast business base.”
Mr. Aycoth’s military assignments included serving as Instructor,
Health Services Administration and Executive Officer to the School
Commander, School of Healthcare Sciences; Executive Fellow, Healthcare
Administration Residency, INOVA Healthcare Systems; Director, Headquarters
Air Force Systems Command Medical Informatics and Managed Care;
Chief, Medical Operations and Logistics, Desert Shield/Desert Storm;
Associate Chief/Executive Officer, Air Force Medical Service Corps;
and Deputy Director, Functional Management and Integration, Office
of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs. He consistently
improved organizational performance and was promoted ahead of his
contemporaries, and praised as being a “superb leader and
officer.” He has been the recipient of the Defense Meritorious
Service Medal, the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal, Kuwait Liberation
Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, and Air Force Achievement Medal.
Mr. Aycoth is active in his community, serving as the Chairman
of the Board of Education, Chairman of the Community Park and Athletic
Complex Foundation Board, and on the Board of Directors for “Communities
–In-Schools” (CIS). Mr. Aycoth earned a Master of Arts
degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Management and Supervision/Personnel
Management from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Arts
degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Business Administration and Economics
from Catawba College. He and his wife, Dr. Carol Leather Aycoth,
have two sons, Jason and Bryan, and reside in Salisbury, North Carolina.
