Inverness
Assists Prince William County, Virignia, to Provide a Customer-Centric
Land Development Process
June 21, 2004
Prince William County, Virginia, one of the fastest growing countries
in the United States, selected Inverness Technologies to support the
redesign of its land development process. Inverness is providing Business
Process Redesign (BPR) support to streamline and standardize the County’s
processes to increase customer convenience and satisfaction. This
effort is the first step in the County’s Business Innovation
for Land Development (BUILD) project, a key initiative with direct
involvement and oversight by the County Executive and Board of County
Supervisors.
Inverness will assist the County in identifying process, organizational,
and technological changes to meet the vision of “a new integrated
information system aligned with streamlined business processes in
support of land development and economic development which will
provide:
• Improved customer experience (one stop shopping)
• Improved business process management
• Improved information management
• Increased staff productivity and efficiencies
• Enhanced security and enforcement”
Inverness’ approach features use of the Popkin System Architect
tool to model and simulate the “As-Is” business processes,
model the “To-Be” processes, and generate requirements
for the new integrated Land Information System (LIS).
Inverness Technologies, Inc. is a robust, full service and proven
