DISA
Selects Inverness Technologies to Provide Collaboration Support
September 15, 2004
The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) established the Net-centric
Enterprise Services (NCES) program to provide Department of Defense
(DoD) organizations “ubiquitous access to reliable, decision-quality
information through a net-based services infrastructure and applications
to bridge real-time and near-real-time communities of interest (COI).”
Development and implementation of NCES requires extensive coordination
and communication between DISA, the Services, and the multi-contractor
team responsible for the program. DISA selected Inverness Technologies,
Inc. to provide the infrastructure and tools to facilitate collaboration
among team members.
Inverness is providing a collaborative environment that will enable
the team to review and coordinate policy documents, promulgate standards,
quality control and approve software designs, and manage the overall
effort. Inverness is hosting the environment and providing design,
help-desk, and system administration support for government and
contractor users.
Inverness Technologies, headquartered in Falls Church, VA, is an
innovative IT consulting firm. Inverness provides comprehensive
