Technologies Teams Up with NAMS to Support the Transition Assistance
Program (TAP)
June 01, 2006
Inverness Technologies joins Native American Management Services
(NAMS) as a partner to provide Transition Assistance Program Workshops
for our servicemen and women transitioning from military service!
The Transition Assistance Program (TAP) was established as a program
under Title 10 of the U.S. Code with passage of the National Defense
Authorization Act for fiscal year 1991. TAP is a partnership among
the Departments of Labor, Defense, Homeland Security, and Veterans
Affairs and provides employment and training information to armed
forces members and their spouses within one year of their separation
or two years of their retirement from the military. The purpose
of the TAP program is to provide program participants with employment
and training information and give them the tools and skills they
need to make a successful transition.
Inverness will provide TAP Employment Workshops in both in the
US and Overseas military locations for all branches of the military.
Workshops cover topics such as stress management, career assessment
and decision making, job search strategies, resume writing, federal
employment opportunities, successful interview techniques, dress
for success, job offer and salary negotiation, small business resources,
and more…
As a robust, full service, disabled, veteran owned business (SDVOB) Inverness
is proud to be serving our nation’s veterans!
